I started as a member travel counselor with AAA Washington in 2010, and I didn’t know then that I was just about to fall in love with the travel industry. After four years at the Olympia store helping members with auto tours and domestic travel, I was sure that I wanted to turn this job into a career. I began searching for opportunities to further myself, with the support and motivation of my manager.
I spent a year as an international travel agent at the Mill Creek and Alderwood stores. Knowing that I eventually wanted to work my way to the corporate office and “back of house” operations, I took the position of group travel coordinator for Concierge Cruises, which I enjoyed for four years until a product manager position opened. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity, thanks again to support and encouragement from my supervisors and peers. I have been in this position for more than two years now, and I have never been happier. I can’t wait to see what else is to come as the years go on!
